【摘要】:Theinductionperiodmaybeusedasanindicationofthetendencyofmotorgasolinetoformguminstorage.Itshouldberecognized,however,thatitscorrelationwiththeformationofguminstoragemayvarymarkedlyunderdifferentstorageconditionsandwithdifferentgasolines.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthestabilityofgasolineinfinishedformonly,underacceleratedoxidationconditions.(Warning-Thistestmethodisnotintendedfordeterminingthestabilityofgasolinecomponents,particularlythosewithahighpercentageoflowboilingunsaturatedcompounds,asthesemaycauseexplosiveconditionswithintheapparatus.However,becauseoftheunknownnatureofcertainsamples,thepressurevesselassemblyshallincludeasafetyburst-discinordertosafeguardtheoperator.)Note1--Formeasurementofoxidationstabilityofgasolinebymeasurementofpotentialgum,refertoTestMethodD873,orIPTestMethod138.Note2--Theprecisiondataweredevelopedwithgasolinesderivedfromhydrocarbonsourcesonlywithoutoxygenates.1.2TheacceptedSIunitofpressureisthekiloPascal(kPa);andfortemperatureinC.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
